Mayor Angelo Alamo Bernardo is a veteran public servant whose life and career exemplify unwavering dedication to the betterment of his community. Mayor Bernardo pursued his academic interests at Manuel L. Quezon University, where he studied Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. His academic background laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors, but his true passion for service was realized through his early political career.

In the 1990s, he embarked on his political journey as the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairman, a role in which he demonstrated his commitment to the youth and the community. His dedication and leadership quickly earned him recognition, leading to his election as a Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Member in 1995. He served with distinction for three consecutive terms, a total of nine years, until 2004. His track record of effective governance and community engagement paved the way for his next role as Municipal Vice Mayor, and afterwards, as Municipal Mayor of Palanan, Isabela.

From 2007 to 2016, Mayor Bernardo was elected as the Municipal Mayor, serving three consecutive terms with the same passion and integrity that marked his earlier roles. His tenure as mayor was characterized by his resolute commitment to his slogan, “Aksiyon Agad para sa Bayan” which reflects his dedication to prompt and effective service for the people of Palanan.
